Decided to clear a section on the side of the drive near the camp. About 200' wide x 300' deep. There are a few cedars I can get there, and the rest was just an assortment of tall skinny stuff that didn't amount to anything other than cover. I'll leave a few maples and birch, but there's a dozen cedars I'll use for the house. I really wanted to clear out the over growth so one particular Beech tree could stay, and flourish with time. Its growth was completely block by taller trees. Ought to produce some nuts for the deer for years to come. There are 2 piles of brush, and he pic really doesn't do it justice at all. I'll light them up this winter with snow cover.

Here's a pic of that beech. Looks ugly, but the whole tree is pretty on its own

The fun is over, and time to lug some of these out

All in a day's work. Milled 3 sides, and stuck to dry

Hm...... I see some potential here ;-)

With everything going on, and projects started all over the place...... I never posted a pic of the finished kitchen. I built the boxes and hung them, then got my buddy Dalton Theriot to make up the doors, as all my equipment is in storage. I waited till I had everything done, as far as going to be done anyhow and had one upper cabinet left to build and hang over the sink, but still gave the measurements to Dalton anyhow for that smaller cabinet. I wanted to go over the frig with another, but space is at a premium and its the only spot I can put the TV. Nothing fancy here, but I gotta say that those doors sure added a touch of class to the camp. The camp is quite comfortable for the two of us, even with the small kitchen. Normally I put in a sink panel instead of taller doors under the sink, but in this case, the taller doors give us better access.
