Now that the weather is changing, I find myself in one day, and outside the next. I put up some collar ties in the living room also.

The weather has been just fantastic! I know I should stay inside, but I really can't wait to finish that deck, then hopefully get on to the roof before summer heat get's here

How's this for a rustic deck? Those logs are 8" cedar logs at the butt. I thought this was going to be a piece of cake doing the handrails, and railing but trying to find the right size for everything is tougher than I thought.

I left the logs run wild, and will cut everything once I'm ready

I finally got to change out that door trim, for that waned edge trim I came up with

The waned edge trim looks a whole lot better than that white brick mold

Just a tip to pass on. Recently diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel in one hand, and more severe in the other and waiting for surgery, I switched hammers from my Easting, to a wood hammer I picked up several years ago. A weird looking hammer, but when I picked up the 20oz., it up it felt so good that I returned to buy a 16oz. as well. Not having my glasses on at the time, I noticed it was a signature hammer. Not giving it much thought till a few day's later, I put on my glasses and laughed like hell. The name was "Tim Allen" ha ha ha , but I have to say this much..... best hammer I've held in all my years, and I finally got back to using it and it made a world of difference in vibration that I hadn't noticed before the carpal tunnel thing. The 20oz. has a diamond pattern embossed on the striker, that is great in preventing ricochet off the nail when nailing. You'll also notice the familiar look of the hatchet handle they have.

You can tell spring is right around the corner ;-) That pile started right behind that crossbuck and 4-5' tall x 8' across. A total of about 6 cord. Excuse the wife's clothese dryer he he he
