Here's a shot from the other end, showing the kitchen wall that I finally finished the drywall on and now taping

Some tricky cutting here

Finally painted a couple walls. This is in the bedroom. This peach color really brightens up the place and will most likely be used throughout.

Also started the chinking. The real color is a natural wood but the glare of the wall gives it a slightly different color.

The ceiling is now finished. Now to finish up the bathroom walls

Made up some 3/4 round molding from that pine log I sawed a few months ago

Time to finish up the dinning room. First slabs have to be peeled. These slabs have been piled to long, and wood beetles got in the cambium layer (just under the bark)

Now comes the work. I use the Festool plane to get it down to somewhat a decent thickness, and get rid of any scars during logging as well as knock down the branch nubs. With that done, I start sanding with a 40 grit disk to get rid of the planer marks, and get the round back. Once that is done, I'll sand with and 80 grit disk ready for finish

The dinning room wall is also the bedroom closet wall. The return is about 32 degrees. I'll miter the return using the cut off from the wall, using the same log. I'll let the return run wild for now till I get the jamb in place, then use a slab up right for the door trim.

oh........time for a little gloat

Asking your wife to help............jusdt doesn't work. Trust me!
