Finally done with spraying the base units and ready to take upstairs. Tom gave me an old hive and found a perfect place to hang it

Denise has been doing some painting while I work on hanging the cabinet doors. Its been pretty hot these last 2 day's and you can see just how hot with Denise's T-shirt.

The color on this next pic is off, due to poor lighting. But I did want to show the hardware

Just finished the laminate top. It has a marble pattern with a green tint that goes well with the color of the cabinets. I also putt the black sink in, but isn't plumbed up yet.

Haven't been able to do anything on the house due to getting this body repaired. I injured my shoulder a while back and trying to light a fire under the VA's butt just seemed to take forever. Well.....when it rains it pours! This pic was taken at least 3 weeks after. The bruising was a whole lot worse, but you can see the muscle loss right after the bruise, and notice the loose skin under the arm. The muscle became detached from the shoulder, trapping the tendon in the shoulder joint. You see a spot almost like an "X" where they went in and took that loose tendon out, leaving my muscle just fall. Looks like permanent damage, but at least it's not painful as it was, and now I have 80% mobility

This next pic is off my back surgery. Man..........I waited 30 long years for this. I had a bulging disk that had my sciatica nerve trapped. They took the disk out and filed the joint with bone shavings so that it can fuse together in time. It was an L5 and S1 fusion. They stuck in some bolts and rods to help secure my spine movement and closed it up with about 30 staples. looks like plenty of down time for now. Jeez..........we're so close to moving in it's not funny. Got a good friend Jerry McCoy coming down from Michigan to help finish the place off so a move will be possible despite my down time ;-) That little spot to the bottom right of the cut is a couple stitches closing off the drain from my operation.

Being active all the time, it's tough just layin around so I came up with something I've been wanting to do for years. Ornamental decoy carving ;-) Never done this and had nothing to go by except some pictures and that's all I needed for my first. Just something to quench my thirst so to speak. Nothing fancy........just simple and immediate satisfaction (so I thought)
