put most of the trim up, and the table top molded edge under clamps. Tomorrow I'll start the face frame for the two side wings

Finished the moldings, and what a mess load of fitting. The unit will go behind some door trim on the left side, so the cap moldings all had to be fitted

When its all said and done, this hood looks pretty impressive

You just can't imagine just how much sanding and detail work go into a job like this. I spent a whole day just detail sanding, and fine pointing the trim work

sanding and priming at different light locations to catch the shadows. Once it looked good, then the primer, and start over again

Now......this is just the primer! This cabinet is built in 3 sections and can be pulled apart at the inside corner for delivery and installation

While the doors are drying

I started milling out the dovetails for the drawers

and these are out of the way, now for the jewelry drawers

Thought its about time to finish up the hood with plywood. I cut a narrow strip and molded it around to get a measurement

done deal! Only thing left here is priming and some grain fill.

set some drawers today. These slides are top of the line, by Hetich

Unlike a side mount slide, a cut out needs to be done to accept the runner, and a small hole made for the pin, and in the front (not shown) to snap the drawer on.

There are 4 small Jewelry drawers in this unit, that will get felt and dividers. They will sit behind doors in the side wings. These are full extension, to have total access

Now for some fun

Kinda dainty stuff for clamps. This will house a carousel for neck pendants

In the down stretch now.......time for more spraying.

Time to put the finishing touches on, and hardware installation

All that's left now is the back, a few more drawer fronts, shelves and line the jewelry drawers. Behind the top left door, are 2 more small drawers just like on the right
