A few of the details

All of these molding were custom made for this unit
These are some close tolerances to deal with. Most Euro hinges wouldn't gibe a full access opening, and a 170 degree hinge was out of the question due to the bathroom door being opened against

The finish on this unit is flawless. Stain in nice, but a white finish like this is awesome in real time

The thing that make these doors stand out is detail. That 1/4 bead design add that extra dimension along with the ogee raised panel, makes this door stand out against the others

That large opening just seemed perfect for a TV someday, so I decided to make the book shelf removable. The width also needed to be stabilized against sag. A dado in the top, and one in the shelf served both purposes.

the other piece
Poplar is my choice for drawer stock. I mill it down to 1/2" and select of color pieces to emphasize the dovetail joinery

All 4 hidden drawers are lined in velvet, and dividers will be going in.

this is the other piece in the room, that I tried to copy in "white". One of the nice things about having something custom built. Not just suiting a purpose, but fitting nicely with the other furnishings....... as if it belongs.
